Success Stories: Medhavi Scholarship Programme

• Sonali is native of the Tribal village Kusavali in Mawal block of Pune district.
• Her family, consisting of seven members, relied on farm labour for their livelihood.
• Upon completing her Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in June’23 from Marathwada Mitra Mandal Polytechnic, Kalewadi, she is placed at DAIPL, Satara as an Operating Engineer , at a monthly salary of ₹ 16.30 K.
• Apart from this Sonali secured the second position in a class of 50 students. Her outstanding academic performance earned her Academic Achiever award.
• With Sonali’s earning her family income has increased from ₹ 6K to 22.3K (271%).
• She supports her three younger sisters and a brother, who are pursuing education.
• Sonali envisions a future where she not only continues her pursuit of education in Engineering but also holds aspirations to become a Quality Manager within the next five years.
