Youth Skilling Programme in Jodhalli
- Deepa’s family comprises of her husband and three children. They reside in a rented house.
- Her husband works in a tiles factory and his earnings are not sufficient to meet his family’s needs.
- To support her husband Deepa tried for a job at Shri Dharmasthala Gramabhivruddi Samsthe, Kanavi Honnapur (a garment factory) but failed as she doesn’t possess any skills in that sector.
- She enrolled in SNSF’s Sewing Machine Operator Course in Dec’22 and completed her course in Mar’23.
- Post training she approached the same garment factory and this time she succeeded in getting a job there. Now she earns ₹ 4K monthly.
- With this her family monthly income has increased from ₹ 8K to ₹ 12K (50%).
- Now she is planning to support her husband in buying a plot and later construct their own house on it.
