ØFarming is the primary livelihood for Ashwini Kharade’s family of four members, who manage a 3.5 –acre agriculture land heavily reliant on a single well. Every year, from decline in the well’s water level whould significantly impact crop yields.
Ashwini cultivates tuberose (gulchadi) on 0.5 acres of the farm. However, owing to water scarcity, the tuberose yield has been limited to 5 quintals per year, generating an income of ₹ 21,000 annually.
