The launch of the JEWAI Leopard Camp in 2014 brought with it the opportunity to further engage with local communities. The clustering of five villages of Perwa, Jivda, Meeno Ki Dhanee, Sena and Biselpur and some hamlets around these villages, make it the largest location for SNSF’s interventions. A team of 12 teachers that engages with nine Government Schools in these villages, brings to them their experience gained from SNSF’s work in Education. Regular health camps for the residents as well as the veterinary population, daily garbage collection and disposal add to SNSF’s Community Conservations efforts in these villages. A cutting and tailoring training centre was set up in Village Sena to help build vocational skills.
