SNSF’s Nasik unit functioned as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) for Mother NGO, Godavari Foundation (2006-09). As a CBO, SNSF, Nasik covered 7700 tribal people across 12 villages and hamlets of Trimbakeshwar. On ground efforts towards awareness and hand holding raised participation of expectant mothers in antenatal check-ups from 10% to 35%. Further institutional deliveries, which stood at a simple 5%, moved to a double-digit figure of 28%; a near 300% improvement.
